In 1970, when Indira Gandhi became Prime Minister of India, she opened the Vizag Steel Plant. Vizag was named “The City of Destiny” by her during her visit.
This phrase was picked up by the print media and became well-known. In the 1990s, Visakhapatnam’s development and expansion took off at a very quick pace. Every industry, from real estate to manufacturing, experienced unprecedented growth. 2. INS KURUSURA Submarine Museum 
After having lunch you may visit Submarine Museum, It is located on the Ramakrishna Beach road in Vizag. The museum features a decommissioned Russian submarine, INS Kursura, which was used by the Indian Navy. It also showcases various weapons, equipment, and technology used in submarines.

Just walking distance from INR Kurusura, the aircraft museum is located. TU 142 Naval Aircraft has served the Indian Navy for a long period of 29 years, it was converted into a museum after it was decommissioned at Visakhapatnam Beach. Its foundation was laid by Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh State in the year 2017, and was inaugurated by Shri Ram Nath Kovind, former president of India.

Now in the evening, you can relax on RK Beach. Ramakrishna Beach (RK Beach) is a popular beach located in Vizag, named after the great philosopher Swami Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. Day 2: Araku Valley

You can book a cab for 1 day from Vizag city to Araku valley, it may cost around 4 to 5K, or can go by train. The ghat road route is very pleasant and mesmerizing. These are the places you can cover in Araku valley.
1. Borra Caves
The Borra Caves are located in the Ananthagiri hills near Araku Valley. These caves are known for their unique formations and are a popular tourist attraction in the region. The caves are 150 million years old and were discovered by a British geologist William King George in 1807.
